Linu La’neral – The Clumsy Cleric of Sehanine – Cleric 29 / CoT 10 / Bard 1

Hail, everyone!

 

This is my interpretation of Linu, the Cleric henchwoman from the OC. A Cleric of Sehanine who was awful with a bow and extremely clumsy, which caused her many troubles in the temple. I find her to be a very interesting character, with a unique personality, and lots of perseverance to serve her Goddess, even though she lacked the “natural talent” to do so in the traditional way. The build I designed for her is also very unique, and potentially difficult to play. She doesn’t have Blind Fight, but she has Invisibility Purge to even the odds against concealed foes, and for most of her life, she’ll be buffing herself with basic stuff and unable to cast spells higher than level 4. That isn’t really a problem, since Greater Magic Weapon, Darkfire, Divine Favor, and Divine Power are all level 4 or lower. She can manage without the higher level spells until epic levels, when she starts getting Wisdom increases with CoT bonus feats, and at level 33 she gets access to 9th level spells. This may seem like a long time to wait, but most level 9 spells are save-related, and her Wisdom is quite low, so we wouldn’t be able to use them well anyway. At level 37, she gets her Bard level, which gives her UMD and Tumble AC. It’s a nice boost, but with Expertise, Divine Shield and some CHA items, she can get by without it until then. From this point on, her unusual progression is almost complete. She has undispellable Cleric buffs, access to all spells, good AB, and the divine feats to boost damage or AC when needed. The road is a bumpy one, but the result is quite powerful!
