Comment:
This is a 50 AB (unbuffed, mundane items) Paladin with Str 42 (up to 54) with devastating critical.
Devastating Critical
On a critical hit, the enemy has to make a fortitude save DC 46-52 or the enemy dies. Critical hits will be frequent due to the amazing Paladin bonuses to AB and the very high AB.
It gets Devastating Critical at Level 24 which is as close to as early as possible in most combat builds.
Good weapons to choose for the weapon focus are those with good threat ranges (ie 19-20 or 18-20) and two handed weapons which add 1.5x strength modifier to damage (rather than 1x). These include scimitar, rapier, greatsword, heavy flail, longsword.
One can switch the Dev Crit off by using a non-focused melee martial or simple weapon and have 47 mundane AB switching from weapon/shield to two handed as required.

Other features
The character has a whole lot of other features from Paladin, RDD and Sorcerer:
- Buffs add nice AB and damage ie. +2 (Bless/Aid), +5 (GMW or Holy Sword), +5 (Divine Favor) pushing the AB to astronomical levels.
- +9 AC with Divine Shield and +9 divine damage / hit with Divine Might when charisma is capped.
- Sorcerer is nice, as it allows use of Sorcerer wands, scrolls and items, and at least four level one spells per day. Notably True Strike for +20 AB for 1 round, can be cast in full armor without arcane spell failure (knockdown attempt with all that AB), Endure Elements for slight elemental damage absorption lasting 24hrs even at level 1.
- Divine Shield and RDD Armor help with physical defense. The character also Fire Immunity, Paralysis Immunity and Darkvision from RDD.
- Paladin has access to great immunities, including Disease, Fear, Freedom (spell), Mind Immunity against Evil/Good (spell), Death Immunity (spell). Although spells / day are quite limited, they have a caster level of 29 and are ‘undispellable’ and not breachable, so only removable with a Mordenkainen’s Disjunction spell passing a dispel check. Saves are low for a paladin but can be enhanced by boosting two stats (charisma + another stat ie. constitution for fort save).
- 136 skill points, not a huge amount. 8 ranks in Lore are required for RDD. Beyond that I would suggest investing in Discipline, Tumble (for +4 AC). The remaining skill points can be as one sees fit ie Spellcraft, Spot, Taunt. Persuade is helpful in some modules.
HP was a little low to squeeze everything in.
Non-Devastating Crit Version
The Non-Devastating Critical version gains toughness, expertise, blind fight, taunt and armor skin. Taunt can lower enemy AC by up to 6 and cause some enemy spells to fail. The Dev Crit version is probably the stronger version on my view.
The paladin wielding a weapon with a x4 critical modifier, can kill or almost kill many enemies when fully buffed and dealing a critical hit, almost as powerful as devastating critical (some would argue better than devastating critical, because you see the huge numbers!). Source: NWN EE, WoG PW
Pseudo-Devastating Crit Version with a weapon with a x4 critical hit modifier
Another approach is to have a ‘Pseudo’ Devastating Critical version, with a x4 critical weapon. x4 critical weapons are essentially the Scythe, and if one has the Community Expansion Pack (CEP) weapons, the Mercurial Greatsword (and Longsword) which are all exotic weapons.
This probably has the best of both worlds, as one gets to see all the big numbers while defeating enemies very rapidly with criticals, and having a few more features like Expertise, Armor Skin and Taunt. It is the same as the non-dev crit version but takes Weapon Proficiency Exotic and Improved Critical instead of Toughness and Blind Fight. Is the last listed build.
