Hello!
After having played with Orion’s Boccob tricky devastator (nice build, btw), roleplayed as an evil follower of Erythnul, I thought to make a “good-aligned” version.
To change class a bit, I choose paladin instead of cleric, and I kept the lv 32/fighter6/rogue2 combo as is very effective: immune to dispels lesser than Mords, and resistant to Mords casted from scrolls; she has got a few aces up her sleeve (divine damage from divine might and paladin spells) that can help her deal more damage to her God’s enemies!
Great fun to play her: I am leveling her in the WoG server, and currently she is lv 35.
Initially a build with devastating critical has been made: it uses monk instead of rogue, to take advantage of the free cleave feat. To increase challenge, I preferred to remove dev. crit., and so monk has been less useful: swift with rogue class.
She wields a rapier, she crits more than longsword-wielding creatures, and is less exposed to damage resistance (as piercing damage resistance is generally less common in modules/Pw. However, one is totally free to swift to other weapons as well.
She takes advantage of extend spell, to double the castings of divine favor/aura of glory (needed to cap CHA and to ensure as maximum divine damage as possible), and craft wand to be able to make many wands (bless, bless weapon, holy sword, GMW, buls, eagle’s splendor, etc…).
Mundane AB is 44, no matter if devastating critical is taken or not.
Enough words, let’s detail the build!

On with your comments!

Looks nice.
I would think about a Str 14 Dex 8 Con 14 Wis 14 Int 14 Cha 14 start and change the Wis increase at level 8 to Str, one will get more skill points that way, for a detection skill (ie Listen).
The second build I would think about Paladin 34 / Fighter 4 / Monk 2 or Paladin 35 / Fighter 4 / Monk 1 – the Fighter 6 bonus feat used for Armor Skin could be taken as a epic Paladin bonus feat.

Orion, thank you for your reply!
Totally agree about the change of first version….more skill points, and final STR will remain the same.
It is interesting also your comment about taking only 1 monk level. This will delay the experience penalty due to multiclassing. Should be easier to survive (even without that big AC skill dump) with devastating critical up to the 37th level!

<p style=”text-align: left;”>First of all, thanks for the build, I was looking for a Non-Devastating Crit Paladin build for my run of the Aeilund Saga and I think I might have found the One.
I don’t have much experience in terms of character builds so people like you help a lot. Thanks again for the hard work and keep it up!</p>

Thanks Mordren for your kind words and I am sure Aquarius has appreciated it too!

Mordren , I hope that you have as much fun as I had while playing it!
Yesterday took her to lv 40 on WoG PW, it was a quite nice experience. For the “non-devastating critical” version, I have switched the bonus feat at lv 40 (epic toughness) with Epic reputation to furtherly boost Taunt skill.
I think this is worth it, as (considering a capped CHA), her taunt skill can reach 65 points!
