      I thought this would be a fun and interesting build to play. I have not fully playtested it to level 40 yet.

      • Wizard 38 for awesome spell power, lots of bonus feats for Great Int X, three epic spell focuses.
      • Necromancy Specialist School for more spells / day and RP, ability to use enchantment spells for mind addling
      • Cleric 1 for animal domain (empowered summons), healing domain (for empowered cure potions and scrolls), ability to use cleric scrolls and items, armor proficiencies for spellsword armor
      • Ranger 1 for a free epic spell focus, skill dumps, ability to use ranger scrolls and items, animal empathy, martial weapons

      I choose to get the highest Int possible without getting RDD 9+, which is 38. This can get maxed at 50 with +12 int.

      Three epic spell focuses on Necromancy (fort, will), Conjuration (fort + reflex) and Illusion (will/fort).

      Eight level 9 spells / day, Nine level 5-8 spells / day, Ten level 1-4 spells / day.


      • kills enemies instantly (necromancy – fortitude, phantasmal killer – will and fort)
      • pokes enemies with flaming arrows (conjuration flame arrow – reflex)
      • controls enemies with noxious clouds, tentacles, webs, greases (conjuration – fort, reflex)
      • addle their brains (illusion and necromancy – will) with mind spells (color spray/fear/enchantment spells)
      • dominates them (dominate person or monster, control undead, animal empathy) and adds them to his/her empowered army (cleric animal domain)
      • crafts and sets up to deadly traps to blow em up
      • Extended Haste -> Time Stop cycle with up to 8 Time Stop’s / day.
      • The standard Bigby’s / IGMS strategy (no saves)

      Damage output:

      Single Target

      • Time Stop / Emp IGMS x2 (av 420 magic damage no save per Time Stop)
      • Time Stop / Max Flame Arrow x2 (450 fire damage reflex 1/2 per Time Stop)
      • Time Stop / Silent IGMS x2 (av 280 magic damage no save per Time Stop)
      • Time Stop / Emp Flame Arrow x2 (av 270 fire damage reflex 1/2 per Time Stop)

      Multiple Targets:

      • Time Stop / Horrid Wilting x2 (av 225 magic damage fort 1/2 per Time Stop)
      • Time Stop / Max Icestorm x2 (204 cold/bludgeon damage no save per Time Stop)
      • Time Stop / Sunburst x2 (av 225 magic damage against undead reflex 1/2 per Time Stop)

      Sample spell DCs with maximum intelligence score (38 +12 int from items or spells = 50)

      • Wail = 45
      • Wilting = 44
      • Finger = 43
      • Evards = 40
      • Fear / Confusion = 40
      • Phantasmal Killer = 40
      • Stinking Cloud = 39
      • Flame Arrow = 39
      • Dominate Monster = 39
      • Web = 38
      • Cloud of Bewilderment = 38
      • Grease = 37
      • Color Spray = 37
      • Sunburst = 36
      • Firebrand = 35
      • Hold Monster = 35

      Physical damage protection with Ghostly / Ethereal Visage, improved invis, stoneskin/greater stoneskin, EMA/EW. Small size with gnome means he or she can stand in a field of self-cast Evard’s Black Tentacles without any danger.

      There is +11 to saves vs spells, add Protection versus Spells (+8) and the +20 save cap is almost hit without any items (+19).
      IE: Expect Fort 42, Will 42, Reflex 35 versus spells and spell like abilities. Bad saves however against Dev Crit, Sneakers particularly with Death Attack, and Traps along with some duration spells like Grease which don’t use saves vs spells.

      There are no Wizard / Cleric / Ranger builds in the ECB Archives Search or DPA’s ECB Guild Filter search.

      I also did a ECB tapatalk forum search, as well as a google search (“site: cleric ranger wizard” AND “cleric ranger wizard nwn”) and found no relevant results. So to me this could to be a unique build that has never been investigated before. Wow!

      Necromancer(38) – Wizard with Specialty School in Necromancy, Cleric(1), Ranger(1), Gnome (Human or Elf can also work)

      Any alignment, Evil if possible (to cast prot v evil on yourself to protect yourself and your evil minions from those noxious clouds that you will emit)
      Neutral for smite immunity but this build deserves to be smited
